Art at the Crossroads Music continues at the park
BAKER CITY — The 22nd-
annual Art at the Crossroads
open regional show opens Sept. 4.
Artwork will be accepted on Tues-
day, Sept. 1, at the art center, 2020
Auburn Ave.
Monetary prizes and awards will
be presented at the judge’s discre-
tion. A People’s Choice award will
be selected by the community and
patrons who attend the opening
reception and cast their vote before
8 p.m.
The show is open to professional
and amateur artists aged 18 and
older. Each artist may submit a
total of three works of art that have
not previously been shown at a
Crossroads Open Show.
The entry fee is $20 for Cross-
roads members or $25 for nonmem-
bers.
All items must be available for
sale. This will be the standard
procedure for all open shows in the
future. There is a 30% commission
for Crossroads member artists
and a 40% commission for non-
members.
Paintings must be dry and ap-
propriately presented, mounted or
framed, ready to hang with D-rings
and wire attached. No saw tooth
hangers will be accepted.
Work submitted must be of
original design, of high quality and
to the best of artists’ knowledge
not violate any copyright laws.
If artwork is over 50 pounds or
more than 40”x40”, please make
arrangements with gallery two
weeks prior to intake day. Please
contact crystal@crossroads-arts.org
to make arrangements.
Work must be delivered upon
specifi ed intake day with entry fee
and completed Exhibit Contract.

BAKER CITY — The Powder
River Music Review will feature
D’ Club L’ Eveque on Sunday,
Aug. 16.
The music begins at 4 p.m.
at the Powder River Pavilion in
Geiser Pollman Park.
Attendance is free. Raffl e tick-
ets for a basket full of donated
goodies are sold at each concert
to help support the series. Tick-
ets are $5 for one or $20 for 15.
Those attending are asked
to observe the current health
recommendations by staying
six feet from those who do not
reside in your household.
Please bring chairs or
blankets — there is not enough
seating at the park.
