their own shaker and get to play on Afri-

Country Dance Fiddle Orchestra

Enjoy playing your bowed, plucked or
wind instrument while you expand your
individual and ensemble skills in this
fun and educational musical group. The
Country Dance Fiddle Orchestra is open
to musicians of all skill levels who play a
repertoire of traditional and contemporary
tunes and have an interest in folk music
traditions. Participants are encouraged to
grow their skills at sight reading and play-

Contra Dance (Age 12+)

1st Tuesday of the month is contra dance
night at Art Center East. Contra dance is
an American folk original where you and
your partner dance a repeating pattern
to energetic music, interacting with the
other dancers as you go. This exhilarating
form accommodates all experience levels.

focus on the potter’s wheel. We’ll spend the
first four classes practicing on the wheel,

The Fundamentals of Drawing
April 2, 9, 16, 23 from 5:00 - 6:30 pm
The Fundamentals of Drawing will teach
students about the basic techniques and
materials of drawing. Class activities are
based on the seven elements of art: line,
shape, color, texture, value, space, and
form. Classes will start with a demo, then
students will practice the drawing activity
for themselves. The intent of this class is to
create a fun and easy-going space where
students can sharpen their drawing skills
and feel a sense of artistic
