“Movie: Bumblebee”
This 2018 quasi-reboot of the “Transformers”
movie franchise didn’t wind up making as much
money as some of the other titles in the action
series, but it earned by far the best reviews, thanks
in large part to Hailee Steinfeld’s very affecting lead
performance as Charlie Watson, an 18-year-old
who finds and befriends the titular young Autobot
scout (voiced by Dylan O’Brien). Among others
providing Transformer voices are Angela Bassett,
Justin Theroux and Peter Cullen; John Cena and
Jorge Lendeborg Jr. also star.

“Movie: The Aeronauts”
“The Theory of Everything” co-stars Felicity Jones
and Eddie Redmayne reunite for this action movie
in which they play a pilot and a scientist who
struggle to survive while trying to make discoveries
from a gas balloon. Himesh Patel, Tim McInnerny
and Lewin Lloyd are also in the cast for director

“Movie: The Wedding Year”
A commitment-phobic twentysomething (Sarah
Hyland, “Modern Family”) finds her relationship
with her new boyfriend (Tyler James Williams)
sorely tested when they attend seven weddings in
the same year. Keith David, Anna Camp and Jenna
Dewan are also in the cast of this 2019 comedy
movie for director Robert Luketic (“21”).
“Movie: The Kill Team”
A fictionalized adaptation of the 2013
documentary of the same name, this 2019 actioner
stars Nat Wolff as a young American soldier
who faces a moral dilemma when his platoon
participates in the murders of local civilians in
Afghanistan. Alexander Skarsgard, Adam Long and
Rob Morrow also star for director Dan Krauss,
who also helmed the original.
