I have grown up in a single parent household for the last 5 years, that in itself is a challenge. Watching
my mom do everything in her power to give me a better quality of living motivated me to focus on
school, sports and work. I work at Legacy Chrysler Jeep Dodge and Ram. I’m a 4 year varsity football
player and a 3 year wrestler, throughout these last few years I have had massive challenges I’ve had to
overcome.
At the end of wrestling season my sophomore year, I was involved in a 4-wheeler wreck where I slightly
tore my acl and completely tore my mcl and pcl the next year I made it back by football but little did
I know I would fracture my shoulder and severed my labrum. I continued playing the rest of football
season and wrestling season while making it to state. Shortly after that I got shoulder surgery and was out
for 6 more months. I was told I would miss around 3 football games (which I did) my Senior year.
On my first play of my first game back I fractured my pelvis and slightly tore my labrum. This caused
me to miss my entire senior season of football which turned out to be the best season of football La
Grande has ever seen by going 12-0 and winning the state championship. Through all this, I am still
here today wrestling trying to better myself and my teammates and build relationships that will last me
a lifetime.
