Two weeks to Jingle Thru Joseph

JOSEPH — A parade, a lighting
contest, numerous open houses and
an ongoing bazaar will usher in the
holiday season during the annual
Jingle Thru Joseph festival.
A holiday bazaar will be open
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 29-30
and Dec. 6-7 at The Place, 303 S.
Lake St. This is a new location, said
Sally Brandt, who owns The Sheep
Shed. Hurricane Creek Grange will
have food available.
The ongoing bazaar will feature
a variety of gifts, decorations,
jewelry, photography, woodwork,
knitted and woven items, quilting,
pottery, felted ornaments, Sally B.
Farms Soap, Rada Knives Artwork
and more.
“There will be food and lots
of different handcrafted lovely
things,” Brandt said. “It’s going to
be a great selection.”
The merchant lighting contest
will be judged this Friday at 5 p.m.
On Saturday, Santa will visit The
Outlaw from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Jingle Thru Joseph parade
begins at 5 p.m. Information on

The Observer’s 28th Annual
Holiday Music Festival
Joseph merchants decorate their businesses for the annual lighting
contest. This year the judging happens Friday, Nov. 29.
A craft show in Heritage Plaza
(the former Cattle Country Quilts
Shop) will be held Nov. 29-30 and
Dec. 6-7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“A lot of handcrafters — this is
an arts community,” Brandt said.
Next month brings multiple
open houses in Joseph from 4 p.m.
to 7 p.m. Dec. 6, and others will be
open Dec. 13 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

For the 20th year, a Wallowa
County holiday bus tour is set for
Dec. 7 for shoppers from Union
County who want to visit Wallowa
County.
Tour tickets are $20 per person
and can be reserved by emailing
lularoeashleylee@gmail.com. Space
is limited on the bus. For more
