Audition next week for
‘Stiff Cuffs’
BAKER CITY — Auditions will
be held Nov. 18 for the romantic
comedy “Stiff Cuffs” presented by
Eastern Oregon Regional Theatre.
Director Abby Dennis is looking for
two men and one woman for the
cast. Auditions start at 6 p.m. at
the theater, 2101 Main St., Baker
City. The play opens in January

Teen iCraft at Cook
Memorial Library
LA GRANDE — Cook Memorial
Library is offering Teen iCraft at
4 p.m. Nov. 15 in the Community
Room. This month, teens will make
sharpie mugs. This free activity is
open to anyone in middle or high
school. Supplies are provided and
space is limited to 25 participants.
Registration is not needed.
Volunteers celebrated at
museum social hour
BAKER CITY — Baker Heritage
Museum will celebrate its volun-
teers (past, present and future) at
an appreciation social hour at 5:30
p.m. Nov. 14. The museum is lo-
cated at 2480 Grove St., Baker City.

Handmade Holidays is
this weekend at ACE
LA GRANDE — Art Center
East’s 11th annual Handmade
Holidays runs Nov. 15-16 at 1006
Penn Ave., La Grande. The market
features 32 regional artists and
makers selling a wide range of
handmade goods. The market
will be open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Nov. 15 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturday. This year, Friday evening
will include a festive outdoor beer
garden featuring Hines Meat Co.,
Yes Please Kettle Corn and Side A
Brewing.
Nov. 23 in Baker City as a local
fundraiser. The event takes place
at Baker High School, 2500 E St.
Admission is $5-$9 at the door.
Turkey Trot set for
Thanksgiving morning
BAKER CITY — The 12th an-
nual run/walk to Feed the Hungry
5K Turkey Trot will again happen
on Thanksgiving morning in Baker
City. The race starts at 9 a.m. at
Kicks Sportswear on Main Street.
Entry is $15 per person and all
proceeds help the Northeast Or-
egon Compassion Center feed the
hungry in Baker County. Register

Anthony Lakes Season
pass party is next week
BAKER CITY — The Anthony
Lakes Season Pass Party will
begin at 6 p.m. Nov. 23 at Churchill
Dancehall, 3451 Broadway, Baker
City. Enter through the parking lot
on 16th Street. The evening fea-
tures a screening of “Winterland,”
a full-length fi lm about skiing and
snowboarding produced by Teton
Gravity Research.
There will be prize giveaways
including trips to Sierra Nevada’s
beer camp in California and to
TGR’s hometown Jackson Hole
Mountain Resort. Food and drinks
from MC Taco Bus, Copper Belt,
Barley Brown’s and Glacier 45 will
be available for purchase.
Tickets are $5 in advance at The
Trailhead and Barley Brown’s.

Oregon Trail Center
BAKER CITY —The Bureau
of Land Management’s National
Historic Oregon Trail Interpre-
tive Center connects kids to public
lands and America’s natural and
cultural heritage with a variety of
programs in November.
On Nov. 15 and Nov. 25, learn
about the food pioneers ate on
their journey, as well as how they
prepared, preserved and rationed
it, at “Food on the Oregon Trail” at
2 p.m. The program is included in
admission. Fall hours of operation
are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. For a com-

High school drama club
presents comedy in Cove
COVE — The Cove High School
Drama Department presents
“Psych,” a comedy written by Lisa
Rowe about a successful psychia-
trist who is beloved by many of his
patients until he is framed for a
murder. Performances begin at
7 p.m. Nov. 15 and Nov. 16 and at
2 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Coe Kerr
Community Center, Ascension

Country, classic and
blended, comes to hq
LA GRANDE — Country-esque
music comes to hq, 112 Depot St.,
La Grande., Nov. 15. Doors open
at 8 p.m. Pendleton’s James Dean
Kindle and his Hyper-Modern
Country Quartet kick things off at
9 p.m., followed by Kassi Valazza,
whose songs wind in and out of
genres such as country, western
and psychedelic rock.
All ages are welcome. Admission
is $8 at the door.
Auburn Isaak performs at
exhibit closing party
JOSEPH — A closing party for
the “Function of Medium” exhibit
will feature live music by Auburn
Isaak Nov. 15 at the Josephy
Center for Arts and Culture, 403 N.
Main St., Joseph. The event begins
at 7 p.m.
