Award-winning thriller comes to Hale Turner Theatre
ELGIN — “An Inspector Calls,”
the classic British detective mys-
tery by J. B. Priestly, opens Oct. 25
at the Hale Turner Little Theatre
in Elgin.
The play runs through Nov. 3,
with performances at 7:30 p.m.
Fridays and Saturdays, Satur-
day matinees at 2:30 p.m., and a
Sunday matinee Nov. 3 at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets are $17.
The intriguing plot centers
around the wealthy Birling family
and a mysterious crime. The enig-
matic police inspector who arrives
at the Birling home to investigate
shines his light not only on the
family but on society as well, in
the process drawing attention to
the divide between the “haves” and
“have-nots.”
