Donna Ruth Fuhrman, 82,
of Monmouth and formerly
of La Grande, died March
7 at her resi-
dence. A me-
morial service

Presbyterian
Friendship Center.
Donna was born Sept. 21,
1936, in San Diego, Califor-
nia, to Douglas and Ruth
McIntosh. She was raised
in Ramona, California, and
graduated from Ramona
High School in 1955. While
living in Ramona, Donna met
her future husband, Lowell
Fuhrman. They married on
March 7, 1954. Donna passed
away on what would have
been her and Lowell’s 65th
wedding anniversary.
Donna loved and raised
✩✪✫ ✬✭✮✯✰✱✫✲ ✳✭✴ ✳✫✱✫ ✵✭✫
light of her life. She was also
a manager with the Time
Advocate Circulation in Es-
condido, California, and
later worked as a reception-
ist at the First Presbyterian
Church in La Grande.
Donna enjoyed sewing,
scrapbooking,
genealogy,
ham radio and volunteering
at the food bank as well as
with Neighbor to Neighbor.
She was the recipient of the
La Grande Woman of the
Year Award in 2000 as well
as several other awards for
civic duty.

clude her children and their

Russell John Hiller, 60, of
La Grande, died April 24 in
Richland, Washington. A cel-
ebration of his
life will be held
at a later time.
Russell, aka
“Bosshog,” was
born May 25,
1958, in Port-
land, to John Donald and
Patricia Ann (Baldwin) Hiller.
He attended McMinnville
High School and Walla Walla
Community College. He mar-
ried Dana Lynn Gunter and
the marriage ended in divorce.
His marriage to Brenda Rob-
erts also ended in divorce.
Russell was an auto body
mechanic and lived in Milton-
Freewater and La Grande. He
loved riding his motorcycle and
playing darts. He was a nomad
with the Tribe Motorcycle Club.
Surviving relatives include
his daughters and sons-in-law,
Tina and Ryan Baxter and
Leanna and Josh Hadden, all
of La Grande; mother, Patri-
cia Hiller of Beaverton; sisters,
Anita Peckron of McMinnville
and Mona Lattanzi of Mil-
waukie; seven grandchildren;
and 10 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by
his father, John Hiller; siblings,
Jerry Gene Hiller and Sandra
Annjell White; and granddaugh-
ter, Mya Nicole Marie Baxter.
