Inihaugh, in an interview to day, said this is ' the way to counteract Russian Premier Khru shchev's warning that he will "bury" us, ecoiomically. He emphasized that a government dedicated to a more productive America tnrougn individual incentives is "a must for survival." l'mbaugh and five other weal thy businessmen have formed an organization called Americans for Kronomic Freedom. Ed Shoder, Prosser, arrived this past week for a vacation and a series of mineral baths. Vern Bratt, Cove, entertained the patients recently with another of his piano concerts. Douglas Gilleland and Bob Ro'.b, Oswego, were recent guests at Hot Lake. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Knight. Baker, visited their sister, Mrs. Lucy Allen, last Sunday. Open House Mrs. John Roberts Sr. held opun house for the nursing home staff at her home last Friday afternoon. Mrs. Jack Harding was pleasant ly surprised on hrr birthday when her husband and her daughter, 1 Mrs. LeRoy Merrick, Baker, came to spend the day. Mrs. Pearl Nantz visited her son, Jasper Nantz, and family at Union last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Ewing and son, Duane Jr., visited Clarence Wicks last Sunday. On Sunday evening Dick Roth was host to 28 representatives of the youth fellowship from the Presbyterian and First Me'.hcdist churches of La Grande. After a potluck supper, a devotional meet ing was followed hv a social eve ning. Mrs. Louis Samson and Rev. Keith Mills, sponsors for the group, were also present. Mrs. Nora Cheney, Union, pre sented several entertaining read ings recently for the nursing home patients. Mrs. Carl Uechtold, Union Gray Lady, brought a big basket of apples for each patient.
