WASHINGTON UPI - The Agriculture Department says the furnishings in the aVP'nPu farm home today are worth twice as much as the average farmhouse furnishings of a dozen years ago. In 1947, the average value of farmhouse furnishings was esti mated at under $1,400. Today it's estimated at more than $2,700. Much of the increase was due to the growth in the use of house hold appliances like washers and refrigerators. WASHINGTON (UPll- Agricul ture Department economists re port that from 1955 through 1958, farmers had to have an average of eight dollars and 20 cents in vested in land to earn each dollar of net farm income. The figures did not take into account investment in machinery, livestock, and other production goods. LEGAL NOTICE Peters-de-Laet, Supplies ... 49 05 Union Co.
