A few fish are being taken by both boat and bank anglers with worms the preferred bait. Steelhead angling has been fair to good 011 the lower John Day river from the mouth to Twick enham. One 12-pound stc?lhecd has been reported from the area of the Burnt Ranch. Steelhead angling is fair to good on the lower Grande Ronde and lower Imnaha rivers.
