They include Elmer Beickel, guitarist, well known lo cally. One of the top prizes will be state-wide competition between cooking moms. A free trip to Disneyland is also in the offing. After the theater was searched and no bomb found, the crowd, including former President Harry S. Truman, filed back and Miss Cailas finished her performance. The former president congratulates the spirited sopra no in her dressing room after her performance. Reveal Dave Beck Park Lot Helper SEATTLE UPl ,Too much publicity has caused former Teamsters t'nion President Dave Beck to retire from his job of parking lot attendant. Beck was spotlighted in the press and on radio and television Wednesday when it ' was discov ered that he was spending three or four hours a day working at the parking Jot he owns, one of many business enterprises. "I'm a Curiosity now,' said Beck who is waiting while higher courts study appeals of his income tax evasion and grand larceny convictions. "I can't spend all my time answering, questions. I'd ga broke." Beck, who rose from laundry truck driver to the presidency of the nation's biggest union, had been directing cars to parking stalls and making change at the lot for the past few months. Even before Cardinal Tedesehi "ni's death Monday, reoorts had been circulating here for some time that the Pontiff planned to increase further the strength of the Sacred College to as many as 100 Cardinals. Until Pope John's reign, the college did not exceed 70 cardi nals. . Railroad Workers Set Mass Meeting CJHCAGO il'PIi A mass meeting of railroad workers here Thursday night will answer a "propaganda and advertising campa gn" of the nation's rail roads, the Railroad Labor Ejcceu nves Association said Monday. Thousands of workers were ex pected to attend the meeting, the association said, to hear talks by Gsrge Meany, president of the AFL-CIO, Sen. Paul H. Douglas 'D-lll.l and Mayor Richard J. Daley of Chicago. The association said the rally would launch a labor counterat tack against rail industry charges of featherbedding and its cam paign to seek changes in railroad work rules.
