During the same press conference at thi Richmond Hotel in Augusta, Ga., he said he believes American self discipline rather than such laws as the Taft-Hartley Act should govern our labor-management disputes. matter of FACT The Colossus of Rhodes, a bronze statue of Helios, sun god, was about 105 feet tall and stood on the island of Rhodes. It was made from the melted bronze weapons and instruments left behind by the Macedonian army retiring from the siege of Rhodes in 305 B.C. After requiring 12 years to finish, the statue only stood -until 224 B.C., when it was destroyed by a quake.
