Tuesday evening, at 801 Washing ton, following a short illness. Services will be held in Pendle ton at the Folsom's Funeral Home. Burial will be at Helix. Date and lime to be decided later. Mr. Olson was born it Helix. Feb. 9. 18S2. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Pendle ton, and the Elks. Survivors are the widow, Mrs Jewel Olson, and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. Cove Club Holds Regular Meeting COVE (Special' The Happy Circle Club met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Edith Laird for their regular meeting. Charlie Hancock was taken to the St. Joseph Hospital on Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. Fry Taylor left Tuesday for a two week stay with their daughter in Los An geles, Calif. Iris Byerley opened the second meeting of the Imbler PTA Thursday evening. Following the devotional, by Senator Dwight Hopkins, the group remained standing for the salute to the flag and to sing three verses of America. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read by Secretary, Grace Rye. A fi nancial report was given by trea surer, Aria Bingaman. Secretary Rye also gave the report on the Oct. 1 meeting of the Executive Board at which time it was de cided to make plans for the An nual Dime Dinner. Mrs. Elenora Starr was appointed chairman and reported that the dinner would be served at 6:30 on Friday evening, Oct. 30. In the absence of Room Repre sentative, Mrs. Faith Westen skow, President Byerley present ed the list of room mothers as follows: first grade, Mrs. Olin Hopkins; second grade. Stitzel Services Thursday Amos T. D. Stitzel, 73. a farm er of Union, died Tuesday at his home. Funeral services will be held at Dcmpsey's Funeral Chapel, Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Neal van Leon w;U officiate. Burial will be in the City cemetery. Mr. Stitzel was born Sept. 5, 188G at Hjwe, Neb. He has been a resident of Union, County for the past 22 years. Jerry Bretsch, 3, Dies Of Injuries Received Monday Gerald Duane ( Jerry) Bretsch. a three year oid son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Bretsch, Walla Wal a Walla, died Monday afternoon n a hospital there, irom a la ud injury received when a fire place collapsed- Jerry was playing in the yard if his grandparents' home, when the accident occurrced. .
