This group and others connected with space moved higher. Steels received more attention near closing time. Chemicals ruled strong, especial ly those companies which make rocket fuel. Oil issues with few exceptions moved higher. Rails had a some what better tone. Some of the metals advanced. Aircrafts ruled strnntr tires mixed, and cameras sharply higher. Dctors said ledoy that Jean ett was still having some difficul ty in breathing, even though Thursday afternoon she rallied from what doctors termed a "very low condition." UPI Harold Langdon never got to eat his last meal of fried chicken, chocolate cake and a vanila milk shake. Langdon was scheduled to die in the gas chamber today for kid naping. He had ordered his last meal and was saying goodbye to his family Thursday night. Then the news came that Gov Edmund G. Brown had commuted his death sentence to life impris onment. - Langdon said his prayers were answecd. "I thank you, Jesus," he said He had waived a jury trial on charges of robbery and kidnaping and had been sentenced to death by a Los Angeles judge under terms of the state's Little Lind berg Law. Still Critical Even though Jeanett apparently passed a crisis yesterday and Denett drank her first milk since their trip to surgery, hospital attendants emphasized that both girls were still considered in criti cal condition and would remain so for some time. A 24-hour watch over the nfants will continue as long as neces sary, hospital officials said. The twin girls were born a month premature by Caesarian section to Mrs. James Stubble field of Parma, Ida., on June 29 in Nyssa, Ore., hospital. The girls were flown here for special treat ment shortly after birth.
