Bernstein described as "an un forgivable lie and in the worst possible taste" a review of the philharmonic's concert here Tues day night by Soviet Culture, the official newspaper of the ministry of culture. . In the article, the critic, A. Medevedev, attacked one of the modern selections played by the American orchestra as "scandal ous" and called "Bernstein "cocky" for Interrupting the con cert to explain modern music to the Soviet audience.
