SeaMns on mourning dove and band tailed pigeons will run from September 1 through September 30. Blue and ruffled grouse seasons will be from Sep tember 5 through 13 in eastern Oregon and October 3 through 11 in Western Oregon. Except for . mountain quail in western Ore jon where the season will run from October 3 through 11, the general state-wide season on i pheasants, quail, and partridge i will run from 8 a m. on October 10 through November 15. Pheasant hunters will have a ane bird reduction in bag limit from four cocks last year to three ;ocks in the daily ban this year. Despite a high carry-over of adult birds this spring, brood: counts this summer were below ilie average for the past two years which inlluenced the com-: mssion to adopt a reduced bag limit. Eastern Oregon quail hunters: ueceived a break with an increas- I 1 Kncr limit nn un1l.nr miail frnm 10 last year to 15 for the com ing season. Populations of valley luail, especially in the southeast eetion of the stale were report :ed the highest in years.
