IN THE NAME OF THE STATE OF OREGON, You and each of
of you are hereby notified that Union County, a political subdi
vision of the State of Oregon, has through its Sheriff made its 1945
Real Estate Tax Foreclosure List of and for said county and same
is now in the possession of said Sheriff ,and proceedings are now
being had, pursuant to this Notice, seeking the foreclosure of the
same and all tax liens of every nature whatsoever as held and
claimed by said Union County. Such 1945 Real Estate Tax Fore
closure List was and is issued for the several taxes against the
lands therein and hereinafter severally and respectively described,
as assessed and levied for the several years as therein indicated;
was and is issued by virtue of the laws of the State of Oregon in
such cases made and provided; and covers all several delinquent
an unpaid taxes against the several properties hereinafter severally
described, the same extending, as hereinafter indicated, severally,
to and including the year 1943-44;
The several amounts due on account of such delinquencies are as
hereinafter appearing, that is to say:
First appears the serial number of the tract as the same appears
on the aforementioned 1945 Real Estate Tax Foreclosure List; then
appears a full description of the property against which are the
delinquent taxes herein involved; then appears the name of the
owner Or owners of each particular tract of land as shown by the
last tax roll in the hands of the above named Sheriff; then appears
in columns reading from left to right, the year of delinquency, the
amount of delinquent taxes for said year, and penalty, if any, the
amount of interest to June 15, 1945, and the total amount of taxes
and interest. Each column, as above described, begins at the top
with the earliest year of delinquency of taxes on said tract of land
and continues down to and including the year 1943-44. The total
amount of taxes, penalties and interest against each tract is shown
at the bottom of the extreme right hand column, said total being
to and including June 15th, 1945.
All of said lands are located in Union County, Oregon. When
platted into lots and blocks the lots are so designated; the blocks
are designated as "Blk," and the Addition, if any, is named and
designated as "Add or "Add.," and the city or town in which located
is in each instance named.
When not so platted, cither within or without a city or town, the
Section in which the property is located is designated as "Sec"; a
Government Lot is designated as "Lot"; all Ranges are designated as
"R";, and are East Willamette Meridian and designated as "E W.
M."; all townships are numbered and designated as "Twp.", North
being designated as "N." and South as "S." All half sections are
designated by "14" and quarter sections by "Vt."
Whore property is further designated by metes and bounds, the
following abbreviations arc used: "Com." means Commencing; "PI."
means Point; "Ft." means Feet; "N" means North; "S" means
South; "E' means East; "W" means West; "NW" means Northwest'

of this Notice of Foreclosure, EXCLUSIVE of the day of first pub
lication, and defend in this proceeding, or make to the Sheriff of
Union County, Oregon, all payments required by law to remove
from said 1945 Real Estate Tax Foreclosure List of and for Union
County, Oregon, any one or more of said properties by you owned
or claimed, or In which you may have an Interest, and which you
may desire so removed,, plus oil interest and costs incurred thore
against to the time of such payment, or show to the Circuit Couri
of the State of Oregon for Union County reason why you should
not so pay or reason why said taxes, or some thereof, are not a
lien on the properties thcrcagainst levied; and in case of your fail
ure to so do, default will be taken against you and each of you,
and DECREE will be duly entered foreclosing in each instance the
several liens of plaintiff Union County against each several prop
erty above specifically described, as said liens may be calculated to
the dale of Decree, and an Order of the above entitled Court will
be taken directing that each piece or parcel of real property above
described, and not so removed from said 1045 Real Estate Tax Fore
closure List, be sold directly to Union County for the amount of
taxes, Interest, penalties, if any, and costs as by law provided, for
all of which said property or properties may severally be fuund
liable.
AND YOU, AND EACH OF YOU, are further notified that if
within one year after the date of such sale to Union County, you
do not make payment to Union County of the foregoing several
amounts, with costs as provided by law, and accruing interest, the
said plaintiff Union County will take a deed to all of the proper
tics not then redeemed, and all redemption rights will then ter
minate. This Notice is published in La Grande Evening Observer, a news
paper of general circulation published In the City of La Grande,
Union County, Oregon, which said newspaper is the newspaper
designated for that purpose by the County Court of Union County,
Oregon, as provided by law, by an Order of said Court, sitting for
the transaction of County business, duly made and entered on the
I3lh day of July, 1945. .
