curb and pulls up in front of the
Archer residence, the engine still
running. Tho rear door opens
and Mrs. Archer, Corliss, and
Dexter get out. At the saino mo
ment a huge, fut Springer span
iel comes tearing down the drive
way and greets Corliss ecstati
cally. This is MORONICA, the
Archers' somewhat dlm-wltted
pot. Without waiting for any
further overtures, Mrs. Pringle
slams tho door of tho sedan shut

sion, is getting out followed by
Mildred and Ruymond.

MRS. PRINGLE: Just wait un
til I tell your father what she
had the nerve to say!
MILDRED: Oh, Mother, you're
making mountains out of mole
hills. Ignoring this comment of her
daughter's, Mrs. Pringle marches
into the house. Raymond looks
ut his sister and raises his eye
brows eloquently.
RAYMOND: Oh, boy, by the
time Pop hears about it, it'll ba
Mildred looks at her little brother1
menacingly.
MILDRED: (grimly) And if

Raymond strolls away with his
hunds in his pockets.
RAYMOND: (bored) Don't
