Krug predicted that one year

Krug said many workers will
not even have to shift jobs. Of
some 51,200,000 civilian workers
now employed, he declared, 46,

A third center of resistance is
in northwestern Mindanao, where
a strong and well organized Jap-

a division is entrenched.
Several thousand more Japa
nese, comprising the fourth ma
jor enemy group in the Philip
pines, have been squeezed into a
hard, well-armed littl pocket in
side Davao city, between the
mouths of .he Davao and Taloma
rivers.
