lowa Lake highway last evening from
about 8:00 o'clock on for teveral
hours witnessed a very spectacular
blaze at Miriam. The cribs. In the
rltlnlty of the old lumber mill, which
remained part way across the river
when the dam went out a few years
ago. were set afire In some msnner,
snd burned for a long time. Traffic
on the highway was heavy at that
time of night and the blaze was wit
nessed by hundreds of people.

the sun came out and the prealdent,
