OLIVER FUNERAL
TO BE HELD ON
FRIDAY AT 2:00
A patriotic funeral will be held
her tomorrow afternoon for John
Wilson Oliver Sr.. Civil war veteran
who died Tuesday evening. Services
will befrln at 2 o'clock at the Snod
grass and Zimmerman mortuary with
burial in the O. A.- R. plot of the
Masonic cemetery.
Rev. B. M. Godwin, of the Baptist
church, will preach the funeral ser
mon and Colonel Ralph R. Huron
will-give the Q. A. R. service. The
Women's Relief corps and the
Daughters of Union Veterans will
have parte In the services, and at
tho grave, taps will be played by an
American Legion bugler. Members'
of the United Veterans of the Spanish-American
war will serve as pall
bearery and (a firing? squad from
Company E, 186th Infantry will fire
a salute.

bomb at the airport- station- here

equipped with clockwork.
However1, the little chancellor ap
peared unperturbed hy the discovery.
He and Prince Ernst Von Starhcm
berg, the handsome vice chancellor
and head of the fascist' Helmwehr,
were showered with flowers.

Veal Loaf
1 pound veal round.
pound fresh pork.
teaspoon salt,
l2 teaspoon popicr.
1 teaspoon chopped parsley.
1 teaspoon chopped onion.
1 tablespoon chopped celery.
Yt cup cracker crumbs.

1-3 cup milk.
Mix ingredients and press lntb
greased loaf pan. Bake 60 minutes
In moderate oven. Uiunold and serve
warm or cold, cut in slices. An ex
cellent picnic meat.
Stuffed Tomatoes ,
4 large firm tomatoes,
1 cup boiled rice.
1-3 teaspoon salt. t
t4 teaspoon popper.
1 teaspoon chopped, onion.
1 tablespoon chopped green pepper.
3 tablespoons butter, melted.
1 egg, beaten.
Wash tomatoes. Do not peel. Cut
off ends and with spoon scoop out
insldes. Mix remaining ingredients
and stuff tomatoes. Arrange side toy
side In shallow pan. Add 1 Inch of
water and bake 40 minutes in mod
erate oven. Baste several times.

2-3 cup corn meal.

4 teaspoons baking powder.
y9 teaspoon salt.
4 tablespoons sugar.
1 egg. " ' '
I cup milk.
3 tablespoons fat, melted.
Mix ingredients, beat one minute.
Half fill greased muffin pans and
bake 15 minutes in moderate oven.

a cup diced oranges.
Vi cup diced pineapple.
1-3 cup French dressing.
Wash cress, chill. Mix and chill
fruits. Arrange cress on serving plates
and odd remaining ingredients.
