been asked to assist the Union post
in presenting a show on Friday and

plana will be made during this meet

on Saturday, May 19 following the
show.

cussion of a request to be made by
the post for a naval base for Oregon
nt the mouth of the Columbia River
in Clatsop county and the discus
sion of the possibility of entering a
bathing beauty In the state conven
tion this year.

on the Republican ticket, will be in
La Grande Fridayt May. 11 on a
whirlwind tour of the state by air
plane. " The plane was donated for
his use by a Salem corporation and
the expenses borne by friends. It Is
announced.
His talk will be given a place
to be announced later and the meet
ing, to which the public is invited,
will begin at 2:15 p. m.
