The new Mothers Day stamps are
now on sale at the local post office.
These purple stamps are very pretty
and are one of the most attractive
stamps to be issued by the govern-
I ment in recent years. The Mothers
Day stamps are not only popular with
collectors, but are receiving more at
tention from the public, than other
recent commemorative issues. This
stamp was issued in honor of your
mother, be sure and use Mothers Day
stamps on your package and letter to
your mother on May 13, Mothers day.
Recently I ordered several mint
blocks of commemorative stamps, to
fill up some blank spaces in my al
bum. I placed my order with one of
the largest dealers in the United
States, who carries a large stock of
stamps. My order was partially filled
at advanced prices and many blocks
that I ordered were out of stock. If
the collector of today cannot readily
buy these stamps, I Just wonder what
the collector of the future will pay
to get them.
Collectors should not delay any
longer in completing their sets of
Bicentennials, as the V2, 1, 6 and
10-cent stamps have been removed
from the list of stamps on hand at
the Philatelic agency. It la quite
probable others will be removed
shortly as some of the Issues still
In stock were the smaller issues of the
Bicentennial set.
