Miss Amanda Zabel entertained the
Associated Women Students of the
Eastern Oregon Normal school yes
terday when she reviewed "Sea Level,"
,by Anne Parish, at an afternoon
meeting. Miss Ruth Oelbel complet
ed the program with a group of vocal
solos, accompanied by Mlaa Ethel
Conic Un. -
Tea was served by the Hodgla
house, with Miss Marjorle Horton and
Miss Helen Moor presiding at the tea
table.
Miss Marian Draper Is president or
the association.

The mlnlstrel show given by the
Past Noble Grands of Crystal Rebekah
lodge Wednesday evening was enjoy
ed by a large group of guests, and
was followed by a dance and cards.
During the evening a friendship
quilt made by the P. N. O. was given
to MisS cottren.
The anniversary of the Odd Pel
lows will be commemorated in April
and plans are being made for that
event.

Tuesday Evening
The Young Women's Educational
auxiliary will meet Tuesday e
nlng, April 2 In the social hall of the
Methodist church, with Misses Arta
Lawrence and Mabel Doty as co
chairmen. The topic for the evening
Is "Festival of the Nations" in which
20 young people will take part. One
of the Interesting features of the pro
grame will be the "Dance of the Na
tions" directed by Miss Marjorie Hor
ton, of the Eastern Oregon Normal
school.
The evening has been designated
as guest night and each member is
entitled to bring a guest.
Other members of the committee
are Mrs. Ernest Walden. Mrs. Will
Adler, Mrs. W. P. Ballard, Mrs. E. D.
Draper, Mrs. Loren Tucker, Mrs. L. A,
Kennedy, Misses Mary and Margaret
Taylor.
La Grande Women
At Convention
Mrs. G. E. Holt, elected vice regent
at the annual convention of the Ore
gon Society of the Daughters of the
American Revolution, was nominated
by Mrs. J. L. Ingle, one of the dele
gates from the Grande Ronde chapter,
to the convention. Mrs. P. 8. Robin
son was the other delegate and Mrs.
J. K. Wright attended In her capacity
of state librarian. The .convention
was held earlier in the week in Port
land.

Is Entertained

ternoon for the Helomala club at her
home. Bridge was ployed during the
afternoon and the prizes awarded to
Mrs. Jack Oliver, first and Mrs. Walter
Lone, second. Mrs. W. L. Hoyt was
a guest.
The rooms were decorated with
baskets of daffodils, and an appro
prlate Easter motif was carried out
In the decorations on the table
where luncheon was served by the
hostess late In the afternoon.
The next party will be held in two
weeks, the hostess to be named later.

night when Mrs. E. R. Qulnn and
