Oregon Journal of Portland recently.

Turmoil
I feel .
As though! t were standing
In the middle. of a busy street
With the noise nnd scurry
Of countless petty triiles
Pushing me this way and that:
And around mo, on every side.
Are infinitely towering skyscrapeio.
Leaning over and- crushing me
Beneath their oppressive weight.
How I long for a glimpse
Of tho for away, oft-remembered blue
Of tne sky .
That must be above.

up speakers for annual meeting of
the organization to be. held in Spok
ane, April 4, 5, 6; announces at this
early date three, outetnudintf figures
for the program.
Dr. Prank H. Hurt, of tlie Univer
sity of California Is one, also Jessie
Gray, president of the National Edu
cation, association, ana Alice Sowers,
auscclate director ot . the National
Council of Parents.1, and Teachers.
Each of these. three. will appear sev
eral times on the' general program
during the sessions which will be held
in the spacious auditorium of the Fox
theatre,' Seitlonal meetings will bo
held in the Lewis and Clark High
school. It. is planned that thero will
ho, 32 of these sections, each touch
ing some important phase of-. public
