Mrs. Fred Spaeth Elected to Head
Women Golfers of La Grande
Country Club During 1934
Mrs. Fred Spaeth will head the ac
tivities of the women's 'division of
the La Grande country club during
the coming year, following her elec
tion at a meeting last night at C. H.
Reynolds office. Nineteen women
golfers attended the meeting.
Mrs. Elmer McManus was elected
vice president and Mrs. Harry Mc
Klnlay1, secretary - treasurer. MrB.
Spaeth will make her appointments
later.
Pythian Sisters
Social Club Meets
The Pythian Sisters social club met
Tuesday at the Odd Fellows hall and
apent the afternoon, making quilts
with Mrs, A. E. Chandler serving re
freshments. Tomorrow the club will meet again
In special session to finish Its work
A regular meeting will be held at the
home of Mrs. C. L. berry on Feb. 12.

the Past Guardian Neighbors of the
Neighbors of Woodcraft at her home

The Young Women's Missionary
circle of the Church of Christ will be
entertained Saturday evening at the
home of Mrs. w. L. Hoyt, 1406 Sixth
6treet. The meeting will open at 6
o'clock with a buffet dinner which
will be followed by a program.

Mrs. F. S. Lyon will entertain her
club at 8 o'clock Friday evening at
her home. Three tables will be ar

The boys' choir of St. Peter's Epis
copal church enjoyed a Epiphany
breakfast at the church on Sunday
morning at 9 o'clock. After breakfast

as president of the Westway olub of
the Women's Benefit association Wed
nesday night ait an evening party at
the home of Mrs. Vera Murchlson,
Mrs. Lewis Wetzel, past president, was

Club in Meeting
The Wednesday Contract club was
entertained at bridge luncheon Wed
nesday afternoon at the home of Mrs.
Clyde Bloom. Luncheon was served
at small tables at one o'clock after
which tables were arranged for brldgo
