The Nazarene college gymnasium
Is a splendid place to hold the tour

a largo brick structure of the arched
roof style, thus giving the Interior
plenty of height. A large playing
floor gives adequate space for fast
clever basketball with plenty of room
to work even the most Intricate
plays. The gymnasium lias comforts
able bleacher seats that will seat 1000
persons." ,
Although meat .teams entered In
the tournament: will be composed of
inexperienced players. Indications
point to closoly matched quintets.
Mostly freshman material Is Included
on all squads entered In the tourna
ment, respective coaches say.

The La Grande Gun club rifle team
. won two out of two matches last
week in the Spokcsman-Revlow telo-
graphic rifle shoot, according to an
i Souncsraent made In Spokane this
morning, after lobulations wore com
pleted. The La Orondo team turned In a
score of 1,301, which woe sufficcnt
to win from Chewalah's 1.1B2 and
Medical Lake's 1.260.
As a result of the two wins. La
Grande climbed into a tic for fifth
place, with four wins and four losncs
; for a percentage of .800.

Several years ago. the Tigers mado

playing Wallowa, Enterprise and Jo
seph, but of late, only one game Is
ptayed each year in tho branchllias
territory.
So the game Friday night will con
clude pre-tournomcut competition
with Enterprise, Wallowa and Joseph,
as only one gamo -with each team 1h
scheduled. Wallowa lost a thriller
hero 33 to 27 and Joseph woo swamp
ed 45 to 20. Since Ln Qrando will
not play in this spring's sub-district
tournament, tho Tigers will not meet
any Wallowa county team after this
week until the district tournament
