The t. A. to the B. R. T. hold -its
annual Christmas party Wednesday
night at the Eagles hall. Thirty-five
ptembers Were present. Guessing con
tests we're 'arranged and the prizes
were presented to Mrs. Grace Roland,
and Mfss'fjudella Luper.
A program was presented which In
cluded i variety of numbers. Four
eighth grade 1 girls from Rlverla school,
bbrothf Mann, Hols Waltz, Jeanna
Mae Sullivan and Wanaru'th Strain,
sang Christmas songs, accompanied
by Thelrna Strain: Little Miss Ludella
Luper give a recitation; Jerry Jeanne
Kimmeli. 'a song; Billy Fleener and
&mlta Hesse, Christmas skit; Thelma
Strain, a group ot popular 7 piano
hUmbers; Gerald ine Stopped recita
tion; and a group of popular songs
by the girl's quartet, accompanied

Members of the So-Ko-He club en
joyed a Christmas party Wednesday
afternoon at the home of Mrs. Grant
Swulberg. 'After the business meet
ing they exchanged, gifts Itn a fish
pond and played appropriate games.
Mrs. Reta Gaertner will entertain
tlie club on Jan. 3 when election of
officers will &e held.
Bible Searchers
In Enjoyable Meet
A pleasant afternoon was spent
Wednesday by a group of 40 members
of the Bible Searchers class of the
Presbyterian church When they gath
ered at the ohuroh' for 'a one o'clock
jpotluck - luncheon. Following the
luncheon a program was presented' In
the community room.
Each received a gift from a 'grab
bag. A booKet or guts also was pres
ented to Bey. J. George Willi, min
ister of tlie church.

telling the Christmas story. Other
numbers on the program were two

The Woman's Home Missionary so-i
ciety of the Methodist church wns
entertained at the home of Mrs. B'.
P. Tyler Wednesday with Mrs. W. H.
Hertzog, vice president, presiding at

the devotions led by Mrs. A. W. leffel
on the topic, "Road Menders of La

presented the lesson on the subjeot,
"Woman's Part In World Pence."

Mrs. Hertzog.
A Christmas play. "There's a Song
on the Air" waa very Impressive when
presented by -Miss Louise Whitney.
