Mr. and Mrs. Keith McCool drove
to Uklah for their son, Darcy, who

months. They returned Friday.
Mrs. Ted Johnson, who returned to
The Dalles with her sister, Miss Evel
yn Hallburton, returned Monday. Miss
Haliburton spent most of the summer
with her sister In Cove in an effort
to regain her health.
Woodrow Wilson, a Bmall dun
colored burro belonging to Clarence
Richards, was discovered in the as
sembly room of the Covo High' school
the morning after Hallowe'en. Au
thentic particulars as to his manner
of entrance are not available. The
football boys were delegated toy mem
bers of the town council to patrol
the town during Hallowe'en and
comparatively -little real damage was
done. Less than the usual amount
of debris filled the roads. "

going to school in Cove. Mrs. Harold
Van . Vlack was formerly Vera Pease
and lived here. Her mother, Mrs
Edlt'n 8. Pease, has been here lor a
few days on -her return from a visit
to the south. She has been in Flor
ida, Texas, and visited Colorado and
the. Grand Canyon before her return
She has now returned to Pullman
where she has work at tli college.
A very delightful Hallowe'en party
was given by Mrs. p. J. Chadwlck
Wednesday for her son George. Hal
lowo'en stunts made the evening a
merry one. Pinochle was played and
a Hallowe'en lunch served. The guests
were Virgil Conley, Hughes Gray, Al
len Mills, Richard Miller, Ned Mar
ten, Harold Johnson, Orvllle Rich
ards, Don Smith, Bernard De Borde,
RoyaX Borkgren, Robert Duncan,
Lloyd Mills, Oscar Aas, Eugene Ander

Almon Geiss and Emory Hartley
left a few days ago for Pleasanton
Kan., to visit their grandfather. They
will also visit the Worlds fair.
