Tributes to pioneer mothers will
be given by Mrs. P. M. French, of
Albany, a veteran of 60 years' serv
ice in itho union; Mrs. Ethel Starr
Mack. Miss' Mabel Child and Fred
Lcckley. C. L. Starr will speak on
the Children's Farm home near Qor
vallls, which the state union main
tains as one of its major activities.
Mrs. Ada Jolley, the state presi
dent, will act as toastmlstreas, and
Rev. Claude Neely will -lead singing.
Reports of officers and branch sec
retaries will occupy the Wednesday
morning session and the president's
address will -be given that afternoon.
Charles Haffke. of the antl-Uquor
league also will speak Wednesday
afternoon. A demonstration program,
showing the union's activities, is
planned for Wednesday night with a
torch-light procession, pageantry and
pantomime arranged. Election of of
ficers is slated for Thursday. Mrs.

General Federation of Women's clubs,
will apeak that-arterjoon, and
Thursday night speakers will be MJss
Maude M. AMrtch. and Mrs. Matbie,

day, closing day of the convention.
The Oregon union, members are
recalling this week, was organized 50
years ago in the old Taylor street
Methodist emirch In Portland. Miss
Frances E. Willard, whose name is
one of the most luminous In union
history, was the organizer.
