Fart"
Tias in four words the President of the United States
has voiced the slogan of America's National Recovery
program... As one city among hundreds whose co-operation
the program requires, La Grande Merchants,
business houses, manufacturers and professional men
welcome the opportunity to "Do Our Part" toward
national recovery. To observe not only the letter of.,
the recovery laws, but their spirit as well.
Firm support of a conviction is expressive of this city.
Without a loyal belief in the high standards for Am
erican living, we could not have so steadily maintained
high standards for our merchandise and service. Now,
in future support of this belief, we pledge aid to the
President of the United States in his Recovery pro
gram and his drive for increased earning power and
increased employment throughout the land, and to
day a copy of this advertisement is being forwarded
to the President.
