Opens Its Season
. A' successful and enjoyable meeting
marked the opening of the season or
the ,J. H. Ackerman Parent Teacher
association last night rit the Normal
school.
The subject for the evening was
"pome Fellowship," under the leader
ship of Mrs. Merlin Batley. The horn

ter building, and "the various elements

following subjects: "Parents Respon
sibility to Create Atmosphere" by
Mrs. Guy Miller, "Literature in $ho

"Where Chumship Should Reign," by
Mrs. Batley, .
Barbara Roberts, a student of the
Ackerman school gave two readings:
"Papa and The Boy" and "When P
Snores."
C, R. Eberhard explained the ig
nlflcance of the Zorn-MacPherson
school bill.
Mrs. Mervlllo Moore was appointed
chairman of child welfare.

the hotel.
Mrs. William Beery presided at yes
terday's business meeting.
Eagles Auxiliary
Postpones Social
Because of the '.death of one of
their members, Mrs. Mary Nelson, the
Eagles auxiliary will not hold a social
meeting this month, It was decided at
a regular meeting held last night 'at
the hall. The auxiliary will assist
with the funeral services. ,
