La Grande Has New
Transfer Company
On October 1. 1&31. the La Grande
Transfer Ac Storage company started
In business prepared to give com
plete and satisfactory service. They
have specialized In the transfer and
hauling of lire stock to the sur
rounding markets and have been
very successful. They operate two
one and one-half ton trucks. In
addition to transfer and hauling,
tbsy also conduct a storage ware
bouse, having ample space for stor
ing large quantities of merchandise
or household goods as well as crat
ing and par king goods for shipment.
Their warehouse is also the freight
terminal for an auto freight line.

he started in with two teams and
two dray and during that length of

until at the" present time he has

equipped for long distance hauling. -

trucks were manufactured and the

lifted and a truck body built on.
Two years later Mr. CVavltzer pur-
chased his first truck, a three-quar- j
ter ton truck. The following year
a two-ton truck was purchased and
since then the line has been added j
to at various times. j
llr. Cleavinger owns a large gar- j
age on Third street, near his resi- ;
drxe. where the trucks are stored
when not In use. (
The CleariEger Baggage & Trans- -
fer company also handles crating
and packing of all kinds and they :
make shipments to other cities, Tbe
