Stocks Slide Hack
In Exchange Today
NEW YORK, June 8 OP) Stocks
slid back almojt steadily for the third
successive day today, wiping out a
good portion of lost week's recovery.
The list closed wcuk, with a number
of leases ranging from 1 to 6 points.
Tho turnover approximated a million
flhares.
Even tho bond market was inclined
to yield in spots, although it main
tained a distinctly better undertone
than shares. .Only a few stocks slip
ped to new low levels, but failure of
support to appear after a moderate
reaction from Saturday's highs was
obviously disappointing. A fow isolat
ed weak spots unsettled the general
list.
