; BUY A POPPY j .
Tomorrow and Saturday-everyone in La Gmndei will be
asked to buy a poppy one of the red paper poppies that
have been made by disabled veterans of the World war. They
will be sold for ten cents, though' many will wish to give' a
quarter or a dollar, for they know the money goes to a worthy
cause, - . ' ' ;
! The proceeds will be used to aid local ex-service men and
their families, who are in need of the essentials of life. We
can best keep faith with those who gave their lives by help
ing those who escaped death the living victims of the war.

The quarrel is over, but we are Btill at war at war with
diseases, with wounds, with poverty and all the other re

a poppy you will be honoring the hundreds who lie beneath
the bright red poppies of Flanders Fields, and helping to
make life brighter for those who came back shattered and
shocked in body and mind.
