law was passed with 64 -votes in its
favor, the radical deputies abstain

law was applied by the police, a
charge of mounted men dispersing
a group of communists who tried to

The demonstration was planned to
forward a general strike which was
to have been .declared simultane
ously In this country and Chile.
The authorities say that the com
munistic agitation Is the work, of a
