menu!
Thai's why it's called C and H MENU
"linrry," of course! And does it deserve its
name! Well, Pacific Coast women who've
used tliis fine-grained granulated think so.
In the first place, C and II MENU
"Berry" is snowy white really while, and
lovely just lo look at. In the second place,
it's pure cane sugar (and these days fas
tidious women will-use only pure cane su
(rar for hcilh lahlc use and cooking) .
And then, most important of all, because
of its fine, fine grains C and II MENU
"Kerry" is Ihe ideal granulated sugar jor
every menu use. You'll marvel at the way
il dissolves when jjou serve it, how it
creams when you cook it, how it blends and
liiclls ilself into snowy smoothness.
This is the new C ami 11 MENU
Sugar carton with the clever
pouring and protective device.
2 lb. and 5 lb. sizes wrapped in
uaxed paper to prevent caking.
FOR TABLE USE!
Oh, the texture of cake made with MENU
"Berry" (even Angel Food! Oh, the
smoothness of sauces made with it (MENU
"Berry" creams marvcluuslv) ! Oh, ihe
fluffiiiess of meringues, the velvctyncss.of
icings, the satinyuess of candies made with
C and II MENU "Berry"!
But be sure be absolutely sure lo buy
your sugar in a while bag labeled C and II
MENU "Berry" (2 lb., 5 lb., 10 lb. and
25 lb. sizes) or in the new pouring
protective package, if you want lo be cer
tain of gelling this quick-dissolving granu
lated and no other.
Brown Sugar, Confectioners Powdered,
Dessert Sugar, Cryslal Tabids, and Cube
lets in fact, all ihe C and II MENU Su
gars (as the name implies) oflcr endless
opportunities for varying the menu.

with 41 years experience as a sea,
taring man--and the memory of a
prank played on a president of the
United State
He. Is a steamboat captain of the
Savannah district and says he once
made fish bite for Grover Cleveland.
He was port captain for the Indian
River Steamboat company in Florida
when Mr. Cleveland went there for a
three-day fishing trip.
Captain Lee feared the fish would
not bite when the presidential pole
was cast, so he stationed several
negroes with a good supply of large
Dlueflsh under the dock.
The negroes would drag Mr. Cleve
land's line under the dock," he re
called, "and attach a large fish to
It." The distinguished visitor .was
elated over his catches and the repu
tation of Florida's fishing ground was
saved.
