PORTLAND, April 7 (flp Severely
beaten by two men he had driven to
a lonely spot near Milwaukee, Emmet
Coleman, cab driver, sought tho aid
of police today In solving the mys
tery of the slugging.
Coleman at first believed lie had
been robbed, as -after the two men
had beaten him and thrown htm from
the cab, he missed his wallet con
taining $38. Later, however, the
abandoned cab was found some dis
tance from the scene of the assault.
