Appropriation Bill
SALEM. Jam 22 The first
major appropriation bill was Intro
duced into the house yesterday by
the joint ways and means committee,
asking appropriations in excess of
$475,000 for deficiency payment. The
measure included 9250,656.50 for pay
ment or penitentiary flax accounts,
$39,603.37 for circuit Judges salaries
and circuit court expense and $31,
066.64 for support of homeless chil
dren. Completion of an additional wing
nt the state oenitentlarv to ' cost
t $53,000, now unaer construction un
der the direction or the state board
of control and the payment of claims
Incurred by the board in the con
struction authorized r by the emer
gency board April 4, 1030, were the
contents of bills Introduced in the
house, sponsored by the joint house
