until the hay makers were forced to
abandon their work and seek shelter.

get any ot the rain at all. Work was

pany. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hogan, of Baker,

A delightful time was spent last
Wednesday at the Elmer Hogoboom
ranch at Joseph by a number i Mrs.
Hogoboom's friends who brought their
lunches and spent the day. Those

iAlex Gillefiplo, Mrs. Ed Eben, Mrs.
Wallowa lake a few years ago and the
family made their home here then.
Mr. and Mrs. Drury Davis and fam
ily, of Toppenlah, Wash., are camping
at the bead of the lake. Mr. Davis
was a former resident of Joseph, leav
ing about 13 years ago and had not
been back for ten years.
