bye to Mrs. Ira Aldrich (- and Mrs.
Prank B. Appleby. Mrs. Aldrich has
gone to Cottage drove- to make net
home and Mrs. Appleby Is leaving
oon to live In Los Angeles. Both
have been very active In the work of

with arrangements in a color scheme
of yellow and white, using pretty

Birthday Party
For Dickie Burnett
. In observance of his seventh birth
day anniversary Dickie Burnett, sot.
of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Burnett, was
the honor guest at a Jolly party Mon
day night at his home. Those pres
ent were Dick and Billy Moore, Jerry
and Billy Neal, John Tuttle, Dale
Horstman, Billy and Bobby Closs. and
Master Burnett.
Games were played on the lawn
and later refreshments, including a
birthday cake lighted with candles,
were served at a table on the porch.
Iu the cake several coins were hid
den. The attractive color scheme waa
of pink and white. Bobby Goss, John
Tuttle, Dick Moore and BlUy Ncu
either won prixes at games or found
a coin In their cake. A number oi

day afternoon at the home of Mrs.
James A. Bugg, with Mrs. Hedrick as
hostess.
The meeting was railed to order-
by Mrs. Lloyd Purdy, followed by
prayer and the meeting in general,

to the members before the close or
the afternoon.

5 tablespoons soft butter.
cup chopped' pimiento stuffed
olives.
cup chopped pecans.
4 tablespoons salad dressing.
Mix butter, olives, pecans and dress
ing. Spread upon bread and arrange
sandwich fashion. Press together
firmly. Cut out with round cooky
cutter. Arrange "rounds" on tray,
garnish with nasturtiums.
Cheese Ultra .-
18 slices white bread.
4 tablespoons soft butter.
l,i cup white cream cheese.
H teaspoon salt,
3 tablespoons finely chopped groen
peppers.
4 tablespoons salad dressing..
Mix butter, cheese, salt, green pep
pcrs and salad dressing and spread
oh slices of bread. Arrange sand
wich fashion and press firmly. Cut
cf crusts. Cut each sandwich Into 3
bars. Arrange log cabin stylo on a
tray. Garnish with greenery.
Yiinillu Wafers
Y2 cup butter.
1 cup confectioner's sugar.
1 fgb'-
3 tea.spoons vanilla. '
't teaspoon salt. . -,-,'
4 tablespoons cream.
2 cups flour (pastry),
!4 teaspoon baking powder.
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg,
vanilla, salt and cream. Heat 2 min
utes, add the rest of the Ingredients.
Drop portions from end of spoon onto
greased baking sheet. Space 3 Inches.
Bake 10 minutes In moderate oven.
Peanut Drops . ,
1-3 cup fat.
1 cup sugar.
2 eggs.
1-3 cup milk.
, I teaspoon lemon extract.
, U teaspoon salt. . ..
cupa flour.
. 1 teaspoon baking powder.
1 cup roasted shelled peanuts.
Cream fat and sugar. Add eggs ftnet
milk. Beat 2 nVJtes. Add rest ot
ingredients. Chill dough, i Break off
bits of dough and flatten down, 4
inches apart on greased baking sheets.
Bako 12 minutes in moderate oven.
