After a short business meeting

ented. Mi's. Gump, chairman of
the Juno program committee, was
in charge. Mrs. Wo yd Pierce read
several humorous short stories,'
"The Itcjuvenatlon of Aunty
Mary," and "Tho Swimming Holo
in the Church." Utile Betty Anno
Blokland gave a reading "Aren't 1
Sweet."
Guests during the afternoon
were Mrs. Ward Smiih and Mrs.
Jesso Griffin, of Hoquium, Wash.
About 35 members were In atten
dance. At tho closo of the meet
ing, a dainty two-course luncheon
was served. Tho next meeting will
be at the homo -of Mrs. Tom Car
penter with Mrs. C. Houk assist

'sisters. Don Galley told of tho
lesson of friendship taken from tho
story of Damon and Pythias, and
illustrated it with slides. Shadows
were sold for the baskets and re
freshments wero enjoyed.

A delightful evening was spent
by the members of tho Knights of
Pythias lodge 'and the Pythian Sis
ter Temple last night in the K. P.
hall when a program and basket
social took place, with the pro
ceeds added to tho radio fund.
. The program began with an ban
jo and piano number of Melviu
Vallery and Clark Huckman. Miss
Genevieve Adler played two piano
solos, and then nccompanted Mrs,
Hay Fuller who sang a vocal num
ber. Two harmonica selections
were pluycd by Claude Berry. A
play, "The olt Maid's Desire, was
Mrs. Nolan Skiff entertained at
three tables of bridge ut her home
last evening in honor of Mrs. Philip
Walnum. of Yakima, who has been
visiting hero for the last 10 days.
A color schemo of pink and yel
low was carried out in tho flowers
and the two-course luncheon.

pers. 1 cup salmon.
" J cup cooked peas.
2 eggs, well beaten.
" 2 tablespoons chopped parsley.
Melt butttr and add flour, Ill end
well and add milk and cook until
a creamy sauce forms. Stir con
stantly. Add rest of ingredients.
Cook slowly and stir constantly for
2 minutes. Serve on tho toast, .

Mix the Ingredients and let stand
