A MIGHTY SELLING DRIVE
I Under the direction of the Kcnnctl Sales Organization under contract to dispose of all
.surplus stock in this store in the next nine days. The time is short, it Kills for drastic
decisive action. Prices must be cut. to the very limit but my contract calls for a certain
amount to be sold in nine days. There is no limit placed on the prices I shall make, Mr.
Hill wants a good sale. He is willing to sacrifice his profits with his reputation back of
. this sale with the class of merchandise in this stock .and coining as it does right in the
midst of the buying season when the problem of outfitting for Spring is one everyone is
deeply interested in. This sale will solve that problem for the people of this community
and attract crowds from far and near. We advise you to come early before the stock
becomes depleted for no doubt at the prices wc are making. Many lines will be com
pletely sold out the first few hours of the sale.

. The Man in Charge.

FOLKS!
Here's A Message Tor You !
Mr.1 Hill, one of your old pioneer merchants is talking to you
after seventeen years of successful merchandising. Mr. Hilt is
distressed, not financially, but a backward buying season for
some unaccountable reason,' has caught us with a tremendous
overload of merchandise that must be sold. We bought heavy,
this season anticipating a good business but it has not been up
to our expectations. We are not going to wait, we
are going to sell and sell now and forget our profits
for the next nine days. For it is not the policy of this firm to
carry merchandise over from one season to another, we are en
tering into this sale determined to make it the master stroke
in our business career, putting forth every effort to give you
bargains you will appreciate. Remember my reputation is back
of this sale, a reputation carefully guarded these many years I
have been in business, a reputation for honest merchandising,
honest advertising and always doing just what we advertise.
Now we are promising you the best sale in the history of this
store and you . are not going to be disappointed, we invite you all
to come and share in the savings this sale meaus to you.
