rocket at the dairy exchange today
and all grades went kiting. Stan
dard extras and standard firsts ad
vanced a cent to 33 and 32.
respectively, fresh medium extras
and fresh medium firsts two cents
to 31 and 30. respectively. Cur
rent receipts advanced to 31.
The trade demand wa sbrisk and
buyers outnumbered sellers.
Butter trading was also unusu
ally active, but prices remained un
changed. The strawberry market was still
on the upgrade. They were quoted
at $1.75 to $2.oi) for the best with
two or three days of warm weath
er Saturday's supplies are sepeeted
to be of outstanding quality. The
best fruit was scarce today.
Watermelons are undergoing the
seasonal decline. The price diopp
cd to 4 and A Vt cents a pound.
Poultry and fresh meats were
unchanged.

day followed brisk buying coupled
with announcement of reduced es
timates of world wheat production
this season. Meanwhile unfavor
able crop reports from domestic
winter wheat territory Southwest
continued, as did drought com
plaints from spring wheat sections
northwest. Opening at 4 c to 1 4 c
higher, wheat afterward scored ad
ditional gains, corn, oals and pro
visions tended upward also, with
corn starting at He to 4c advance,
and subsequently rising further.
Price upturns for wheat failed to
hold well at the last, and the close
