The winged shoe of Mercury, expressing speed and change
of the world, is symbolic of the La Grande Bakery. For no
where in the entire northwest, can be found better equipment
or better bakery products than we offer to this community.
We realize the importance of keeping pace with the current
day advancements in the baking industry. The changes and im
provements in machinery are closely watched and immediately

Our most famous product, Butter Nut Bread, is on sale at all
La Grande dealers and our trucks make daily trips to all nearby
towns. . People will no longer be satisfied with ordinary bread
but demand a loaf that has food value and an appetizing taste.
Our plant is open for inspection at all times. We are sure
that a trip through it would prove interesting. Come and bring
your friends we want to show you that your bread is baked un
der strict, sanitary conditions and that nothing but the best in

to attend The Home Products Show. The exhibits there will
convince you' that La Grande made products are on a par with
those made any where: You will find the show interesting and

food dispensing sei-vice that will appeal to all. The
first unit of the Dutch Stores will be opened in about
two weeks on the corner of Depot and 5th streets.
