ton. A company of a dozen of her
friends spent a most enjoyable eve
ning with games of excellent va

Ball Last Night
A colorful und gala occasion waa
that of last night when the M. I. A.
held the annual green and gold
ball in the U X). 8. Recreational
hall.
Staged in- a setting of green
(growth) and gold (glory of
achievement) decorations and flow-
era, the atmosphere waa Indicative
of the work of the organisation
for the last year, r : ; -
, Beautifully dressed In evening
frocks carrying out the green and
gold-color, the queen and her at
tendants featured .the evening.
Miss Beatrice Wardell waa queen
and waa attended by tbe queens of
other wards, and Included Maxtne
McNeil, of' La Grande; Clara Hunt,
of ttaker, and Claru Lay, of Un

The royul group was Introduced
to the merrymakers as they ap
peared In the rays', of the spot
