for the party of six men carried
off tn the bag of the dirigible Italia
on May S5 and since given up for
lost has been revived by reports
reaching Moscow indicating that
tlie location of the group is known.

the rescue ship Krassin stating that
the group, referred to as the "Al
essandri" party wns not far from
the present location of the Kras
sin. ijttest reports received in Mos
cow indicated that the men were
at a point 80.4a north latitude and
30.31 ea longitude. This would
place them northeast of Foyn is
land, near which the Viglieri group
was rescued.
With these reports, which were
nt confirmed, came a revival in
Mwow of belief that Roald
Amundsen, the missing Norwegian
explorer, was likety to hare joined
this group in his flight from Nor
way to rescue the stranded men.
This theory was first advanced by
Prtdtjof Nil risen. nted explorer,
that AmumWn was likely to have
joined this group.
