NEW YORK, June 23. During
the month of May 224.094 cars
were delivered by General Motors
dealers to consumers, according tto
nn announcement by Alfred P.
Sloan Jr., president. This perform
ance establishes a new high record
for the third consecutive month
nnd compares with deliveries of
171.304 fur .May, 1927, a gain of
52.730 cars, or 30.8 per cent. The
best previous month was April,
Ht2X, when 209,3i;7 car were de
livered. '
Hales by General Motors divi
sions to dealers totaled 207,325, or
an output of 34,143 cars or lfl.7 per
cent. This figure also constitutes
a new high record.
