where they will spend several days.

to attend the rally tonight at Ba
ker at a bi-monthly session last
evening at the Kagles ball while
the men's order convened, The

The V. K. M. society had an en
joyable afternoon at the homo of
Louis Sion Wednesday with li
members present. After a potiuek
luncheon a business meeting took
place, with Mrs. Kaye Hug chair
man of a program committee, an
interesting program was giva-n for
the afternoon. Forget -me-nais,
pinks and popples In pretty bou
quets decorated the tables at which'
the luncheon was served. It wa4

Asparagus Tfmhafe
Two bunches asparagus, 3
cups fine dried bread crumbs,
mfp milk, M cup melted butfr,
1 scant teaspoon salt, 4 teaspoon
pepper, 3 eggs.
Wash nnd scale asparagus. Cut
off tough ends and save for a
soup. Cut tender stalks Into luch
lengths. Ury stale hread in fy slow
oven letting bread Itrown slightly.
Hoi! and sift crumbs , Heat milk
and add to crumbs, using enough
milk to moisten. If the cjmmhs
are not brown they wili aissorh
more milk hut the brown crumbs
taste better. Add melted butter,
salt and pepper. Heat eggs, until
very light and add to crumb mix
ture with asparagus.. Turn into a
well buttered mold, filling mold
about two-thirds full. Cover close
ly and steam 45 minutes, Unniafd
and serve garnished with parsley.
